Terms of Service

Community Terms of Service

Effective Date: 20260130
Welcome to the Language Parent website! We’re excited to have you here. Whether you’re logging in with Google, Facebook, or another way, by joining our space, you agree to these simple community guidelines.

This isn’t a legal document. It’s just a friendly reminder of how we keep things respectful and enjoyable for everyone.

1. Respect Is Non-Negotiable

We’re building a positive, inclusive space. By joining, you agree to:

  • Be kind and respectful to everyone
  • No trolling, bullying, harassment, or abuse
  • No discrimination or hate speech of any kind
  • No spam, self-promo (unless invited), or off-topic distractions
  • Keep conversations constructive and friendly

Basically: Don’t be a jerk. We want this community to feel welcoming for all.

2. Be Yourself (And Be Honest!)

When you log in through Google or Facebook, we ask that you:

  • Use your real info—no fake names or pretending to be someone else
  • Keep your account secure (please don’t share your login)
  • Respect other people’s privacy like you’d want yours respected

3. Your Info = Your Business

By signing in, you’re giving us basic info (like your name and email). We only use that to:

  • Keep the community running smoothly
  • Send you relevant updates (no spam, pinky swear)

We don’t sell your data. Ever. For more details, check out our [Privacy Policy] (coming soon!).

4. Community Vibes

This is your space as much as it is ours.
We encourage you to:

  • Share helpful ideas and tips
  • Ask great questions
  • Listen with an open mind
  • Help us keep things safe and fun by reporting bad behavior

5. If Things Go Sideways

If someone breaks the rules (or the vibe), we may:

  • Give a friendly nudge or reminder
  • Temporarily suspend accounts
  • Permanently remove accounts in serious cases (we hate doing that, but we will if needed)

6. Updates Happen

We might update these terms from time to time. If we do, we’ll let you know on the site or by email. Sticking around after changes means you’re cool with them.

7. Talk to Us!

Got a question? Want to report something? Just need to say hi?
Reach us anytime, we’re humans here.

8. Early Access Education License

Some of you are taking advantage of the Education License for research purposes which is awesome.
The system is being made available ‘as is’ to provide early access to this new approach for language understanding for machines based on new brain science. If you see problems let us know. If you see opportunities please also let us know.

We appreciate feedback and are open to conversations about research topics and how we can collaborate to bring this alternative research and technology to society. We hope to find many benefits so society can gain equitably through a global network of collaboration.
